Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly known as KiDi, is a professional singer and songwriter that hails from Ghana. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and is best known for his hit single Odo, which got a remix feature from Nigerian superstars Mayorkun and Davido. His unique style of infusing highlife with Afro-pop has helped him stay afloat at the top with his peers in the music industry.

KiDi was born on the 18^th of August 1993 in Accra, Ghana to Gerald and Beatrice Thompson. He attended St. Anthony's School in Kumasi for his primary education and proceeded to Accra Academy for his High School education. He then went on to the University of Ghana Legon, where he studied Economics and Information Studies.

During his university times, KiDi's love for music led him to perform on various "Moonlight Café" platforms (a production that supports underground artistes and gives them a platform to display their talents). He also recorded covers of popular songs. In 2015, KiDi went on to win the MTN Hitmaker competition and immediately got signed to Lynx Entertainment. KiDi shot to prominence in 2017 when he released his self-produced single, Say You Love Me. KiDi established himself as one of the fastest rising stars in Ghana when he released yet another hit single Odo in July 2017 and released the remix with Davido and Mayorkun in December 2017. This catapulted his stardom across Africa.

KiDi has also produced several tracks for other artists and co-produced with award-winning Ghanaian producer, Richie Mensah. He has also written for several Ghanaian acts including and has collaborated with artists such as Tic tac, Ko-Jo Cue, Magnom, and Kwesi Arthur. KiDi won the Highlife Song of the Year for his hit single Odo at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards. He then went on to win the Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2019 Ghana Music Awards and Album of the Year for his debut album Sugar at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.

His big break came with the release of his hit single, Odo.
