James ‘Freewyo’ Yoxon and Filip ‘Filthy Fil’ Poznanovic are a controversial and extremely unique

rap duo from Queensland, Australia. Freewyo is an Australian / South African rapper/producer/

singer packing smooth vocal tones like Wyclef Jean, rapid fast flows like MGK + the aggression

and heart of Tupac Shakur. Filthy Fil is an Australian / Serbian rapper/singer with extremely witty

and comedic battle style punch lines and a one of a kind flow and character that simply can not be

found elsewhere. Both of them together form a force not to be reckoned with.

Freewyo & Filthy Fil formed a team together after they realised that they both shared the same skill

level of freestyle rap, and their up bringing’s were both very similar. Raised in the grimy part of the

Australian society, both of them together bring a very ‘street’ element to everything they work on.

Their reggae songs are inspired by being locked away as youths, deprived of recording programs

and cd players with any instrumentals, their only option was to play acoustic instruments and sing

and rap with their friends in the yard. Their hip hop songs are inspired by their idols such as:

Eminem, Bomfunk MC’s, 2pac and their power to express the un-heard voice of the outcast in

society. And their trap songs are inspired by their un controllable love for partying, women and

their huge hunger for financial comfort which was brought upon them during stages of poverty.

Filthy Fil built his hip hop resume brick by brick during his rap battle days in the “1outs” league, and

excelled it even further with the buzz of his previous rap crew “D-Corp” where he made some

serious noise. Freewyo built his hip hop resume through his fast flow rap videos which went

contagiously viral in early 2016. Some of them even reached over 200 thousand views within a

few days time. All together, they currently hold an impressive number just short of 80 thousand

followers worldwide.

Soon after their release of their debut E.P. “Way Too F**king Dope” (May 2016), and Freewyo’s

release of his 3rd solo album “Concrete Jungle” July (2016). They both set off to tour Australia

together. They then successfully smashed out 9 shows across the country during August and

September (2016).

Whats next? Currently, Freewyo & Filthy Fil are preparing for the release of their first mixtape

“Muster Up Vol.1” (17/11/16) which is the “entree” course/ intro for their un-disputed debut album

“No Comment”, which will be available on all digital platforms officially on Thursday 01/12/16.
