Mairo Ese, whose birth name is Oghenemairo Okechukwu Ese was born into a family of six, he has three siblings and was born in Lagos state. He is from Isoko south local government area of Delta state. Mairo accepted Christ over 18years ago & has since discovered and followed his passion and calling for worship, having served in different capacities as a worship leader & director. His music encompasses an eclectic blend of R & B and Soul and a soulful mix of smooth dynamic sounds, he transforms worship songs into experiences.

He has shared with many music greats like Ron Kenoly, Lionel Peterson, Cohbams, PITA, Lara George, Nathaniel Bassey, Paul Irabor and so on. Mairo simply believes he has been called by grace and anointed by God to bring the good news of the gospel across the nations of the world.

Mairo has served in various capacities from Chorister to Worship leader to Music Director in different parishes of The RCCG, House on the Rock (Jos) and presently at This Present House where he worked as the worship leader for about 8years.

Mairo’s passion is worship and his underlying objective is to ‘lift up the name of Yahweh and bring people closer to their Creator’. He has released various songs beginning with ‘We Praise You’ in 2005, ‘I Need You’, ‘Gbagaun-gbagaun’, ‘ Iye Iye’ , You are the reason in 2014 and also recently making waves is “Ole Halleluyah” featuring Nathaniel Bassey. He has a video on air ‘Iye Iye’. He is associated with a number of worship movements including ‘Euphoria Worship Team’ & ‘True Worshippers’ who have ministered in Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, etc. He is putting his perfectionist touch to his highly anticipated debut album to be launched this year and other videos to be released soon.
