Sammy Yakubu popularly known as Sammy is a 25 year old multi talented songwriter, singer, dancer and guitarist who has been musically inclined since childhood.

Although he started out dancing, he never let go of his love for singing, songwriting, and playing the guitar. Through sheer persistence, he learned to play the guitar through a friend and via endless online lessons.

At 14, he joined Soul Quest, a dance team. His team eventually became the winners of one of West Africa’s most coveted dance competitions, the Malta Guinness Street Dance in 2008. Eventually, he chose to step out of the background and channeled his goals to becoming a professional singer.

He released his mix tape called “A Mixtape and Some” in 2011. This mix tape had a cover of songs from popular foreign artistes, which showcased him as a talented R&B singer.

He went on to release a couple of more singles and covers, which were well received. In 2014, he got signed to X3M Music.

Sammy is currently working on releasing his upcoming debut album.
