A native from the Bayangi tribe in Manyu, South West region, Stanley Ebai Enow was born and raised in Bafoussam a city in the West region of Cameroon.
He left his hometown for Douala, the country’s economic capital. Having a great interest in creative works and culture, he graduated in Business Journalism at the University of Douala in 2011.
While studying, Stanley kick started a career as a radio host, and got spotted by Cameroon’s urban culture pioneer and respected veteran, Tony Nobody.
Thanks to his talent and passion, Stanley quickly became the go-to media personality, hosting popular television music show “MBOA” and the “Stanley Urban Radio Show”.
Having such great comfort in front of cameras or on stage, Stanley Enow is frequently picked to host concerts featuring international artists such as France’s #1 Hip Hop band Sexion D’Assaut. Enow also got noticed by the advertising by the advertising world, and Pan-African Telecommunications giant MTN and hired him for two advertising campaigns three years ago.
While building a solid reputation in the Hip Hop milieu, Stanley Enow gradually began working on his own songs. As an English-speaker evolving in a francophone area, Stanley Enow entirely shaped a musical identity of his own, standing halfway between native Southwest heritage and global urban music trends. He raps mainly in “Francanglais” (the local slang blending French, English and words slamming from Cameroonian dialects)
